Below is my journal:
Turn 1
My Arch-demon, Jaeryl, will be making a play for the big chair. This is my first ever competitive game of SI, and I’ve only really played about with the SP mode, so don't really know what i'm doing.
So my build goes like this:
Charisma at 3. Everything I've read about this game demands that charisma is at least 2, if not 3. This should give me all the tribute I need as early as possible. I'm hoping the newbies will not know about the importance of CHA and let it be...
Martial Prowess at 2. I read a guide for beginners and it said this was a good bet. I hope it will give me a strong starting legion with which I can squash my foes and leave them cowering in its wake.
Duke of Hell. I'm not so hot on the workings of this, but Duke is one down from Prince, so it's the 2nd highest rating. I think this helps me in Tribute, and in disputes against lower titled arch-demons. Again, I’m hoping this aspect is ignored, and gives me an advantage.
So the game file has now been sent and:
I'm not sure what I've done to wind up in this particular Hell, but I must have pissed someone right off...
My stronghold, such as it is, could not be in a worse position if some malevolent being had been planning it himself. And my army, my "blood", is barely worth the ink it's taken to write this. So Martial Prowess was a giant waste of my time. This boob could well have screwed me entirely. I was planning everything on having a decent unit to start with, now I’ve got this shower...
Fate has dealt me one card though, quite literally. I'm regent for the 1st turn, giving me first access to the event cards. Playing this early may give me an advantage, or will at least slow the others down a little.
I'm going to march my "legion" North so they can attempt to throw themselves at the gates of the nearby Black Altar, I hope that funny eye monster goes for the other place of power or I'm double screwed.
Plan B is going to have to come in to play almost immediately...
If only I'd thought of a plan B.
Turn 2
Of course, the benefit of being regent is very short lived. Which now means I'm last to go this time around, especially after my nearest rival and the fella I’m in a flat race to the nearest PoP with, because he chose to go for the same one as me. This means I’ll have to circle the PoP and hope he somehow loses the fight, allowing me to step in.
More likely - he wins the fight and his army pops out where mine wants to go, losing territory and a move in one fell swoop. Also, my event card is a complete non-starter. It robs everyone, EVERYONE, of 2d6 tribute cards. As I’ve got 3 charisma I’ve probably collected more than anyone so far, and probably stand more to lose.
Already I’m turning to Plan C. I'll buy a praetor from the bazaar and hope this will help put me in good stead and stop people bullying me early.
Turn 3
As predicted my nearest PoP falls - but not to me. Luckily he doesn't pop out in my way so I can carry on my new path, down to the next closest PoP. With Focalor onside, I may just be able to take it, but it would be close. I may just surround it, and take a stab at a later date.
Taking a look around the map - Hoard of the Flies (Ian) appears to have lost its legion trying to take its PoP. Meanwhile, arch-nemesis and target numero uno Danzebub hasn't seemed to have moved at all. He has no chance of taking his closest PoP. but without any movement he seems to be turtling himself in.
I'm not entirely sure what he's up to - my guess - hoarding tribute and trying to update his stats for a 3rd movement order. Could he be doing something more sinister - Power behind the Throne, or Kingmaker? Surely not in our 1st game?
I'll continue to keep my eye on him.
I'm feeling slightly more confident, I actually have a plan in place that may last more than 1 turn.
Turn 4
My plan continues, so not much to write up. Move the legions across the board will take approx 6 turns. Meanwhile keep bringing in Tribute, and either buy the Epoch book when or increase deceit skills.
Also add Focalor to legion before assault....mustn’t forget.
Turns 5-7
Mainly consolidating my position. I bought the Epoch movement book, Dan bought a Praetor, hopefully I conned him into thinking the other Praetor is elsewhere. Now I’m trying to cut him off from his only chance at a PoP. After that, I’ll turn back inwards and conquer some PoP at the same time.
Also farming tribute for now I have 3 moves a turn.
Turn 8
Dan definitely didn't buy the Praetor, Paul did. He's now spying on me. I'm not entirely sure why..We share a border, perhaps he's planning to invade? but I have nothing to take but land..He wants to march through my land and take the head in the sand with his new uber unit, with a praetor attached! Scumbag!
So what the hell is Dan doing, no Praetor, no land, he's definitely up to something sneaky.
I should be able to cut off Dan and Ian from the last PoP, but will need to react to Wstgfl now.
I've played my event, deal with a monetary crisis for a while, bastard!
Turn 9
Oh fuck off! 9 tribute cards stolen by my own stupid event. 9! I hope someone, EVERYONE, got royally screwed by this event or it was a total waste of time! Dan has finally lumbered his useless legion off its arse and stopped me from cutting him off completely. Time to replenish my stocks and capture my PoP.
Turn 10
Turn 10 probably a good time to address the game as a whole so far. Amy has burst into a frankly disgusting prestige lead thanks to her being sat on top of 2 +4 PoPs. The first was right next to her base, the second she stole off Ian after his legion weakened it with their corpses! Second is Paul, again with two PoP but without the same level of prestige kick. Level on the starting 10, myself and Dan, and bringing up the rear after his embarrassing reversal – Ian.
Last turn to adjust threat levels. It goes like this: Amy-Dan-Paul-Ian. Paul should probably be in 2nd because of his prestige but I refuse to believe Dan isn't up to something.
My starting build has finally shown it's worth, because it enables me to build a combat card for my unit. A minus 3 to enemy Infernal skills should mean I'm able to take the PoP without playing my Praetor card, which would be nice to keep covered for the minute. Perhaps not the massive let down I first described it as.
Once I have this PoP captured it may be time to give Amy a little re-dressing...
Turn 11
Seems I can't attach a combat card and a praetor. Now I’m panicking, but I’ve gone for it anyway. Win or Bust it seems. If I lose my legion the sharks will descend and I’ll have no way to stop being bullied right out of the game!
Someone has also played an event this turn that has drastically increased their tribute, if only for one round. Not sure who is behind this, don't think it really affects my position at the minute.
A manuscript page has also been bought by someone, not entirely sure why, maybe they've managed to find 2 others already. Seems unlikely...
Turn 12
Success!! The face in the sand is mine! A measly 1 prestige per turn is mine, but it's so much more than Dan!
I've also been able to raise my cunning up to 3 whilst this has been going on. I'm going to start bombarding Amy with everything I have!
I may have let Dan know that I played the robbing tribute event in a stupid slip over chat. Doesn't really make a lot of difference or reveal much about my plan except that I wasn't overly hurt by it. This is only true because my high charisma allowed me to recover quicker, I got absolutely pummelled by my own event! Luckily he seems not to have spotted my use of a combat card to win my PoP – hopefully he's not the only one. That one move revealed more about my demon than anything anyone has done yet. In hindsight it may have been wiser to reveal the Praetor, but he's still under wraps for now – I hope.
Plan of action at the minute. I need to raise my prophecy skill by 1 so I can start to cast rituals (as my epoch book is taking my only available ritual slot right now, curses and blast). Once this is done, I’ll turn my evil eye on Amy. She has two legions, one of which is a level 5 monster and is her loyal blood, unturnable. The other is fairly crap and would probably fall to mine with a combat card in place, or a praetor on the field. What I really want to do is rob her blind though. If I can target her vaults and start siphoning out some tribute, I'll hopefully weaken her position so she won't be able to stop me claiming single combat victory, as she won't be able to afford a champion of her own.
Dan suggests he's about to launch his plan into fruition. If he's not targeting Amy he needs a damn good slapping. There can only be one thing he's been doing for this long; building up his arch-demons stats. I would expect him to be at least on 3 move orders by now and probably with a bit of cash in the coffers. He has no Praetor, his legion is a piece of crap, and he's not bought any relics that I've seen that will win him any vendettas. He can only be planning a ritual of some kind to redress the balance.
Luckily I think I should be off his radar for a little while.
A little worried by everyone's inaction at the minute. Amy needs to be consolidating her winning position, and she should be doing it by bullying either Ian or Dan into the ground with crazy demands. The fact that she isn't probably relates to her never having played before and not understanding the mechanics. Luckily for Dan. If I was in Amy position, I would be bombarding him with messages. Although I'd also have bought a Praetor, which Amy hasn't as yet.
Paul has been active, spying on me. His prophecy must be at 2 or 3 I'd guess (note, rituals on him may be tough). He has a praetor which makes his unit pretty formidable. Last I checked it was on show for all to see. We're sharing a border so he's a threat to me – but I think I could withstand him. I'd like to know what he is planning though. Since taking his PoPs there's been little else for him to do than sit and grow his tribute pile, but what's he using it on?
Ian – he must have finished licking his wounds and have adapted to life without a PoP for now. It seems likely he will never secure one unless through trickery or stupidity on someone else’s part. Fairly sure he can't win this, already. Probably harsh to write him off, but I just have....
Turn 13
Dan has bought the Beast off the bazaar. This will let him capture the PoP remaining. I don't see him being able to keep it on much longer than that, but we'll see how much he has in reserve if he does. Maybe he'll go straight for Amy's throat. That would be a surprise but the Beast is more than a match for her closest PoP to him, and she can't get any legion close to support. Although the timing on the vendetta claiming is probably to late to allow for this. If he'd been smarter that may have been possible. Shame, that would've stirred things up.
Ian has loads of combat cards, 2 on his stronghold, one on his unit. Not entirely sure why.
Consolidate this turn and get some more tribute in. I've been able to raise my prophecy again this turn. Stats now: MP 2 Cunning 2 Intellect 1 CHA 3. This should hopefully set me in good stead later on.
I really need some more souls. There is now a good unit on the Bazaar that I want, but no souls to spend. Hopefully no one else is in a position to need them.
Turn 14
I'm not sure if Dan has done the maths. His claim has gone against Amy, if she refuses the demand, vendetta will ensue. But will it happen immediately, or a turn after? Either she can get her units back to defend, or she can't. Whether they can all withstand the beast is another matter entirely..this should be interesting.
***Dan had done the maths, but he'd missed the bridge that allowed her second unit to get back to support***
What Amy will do to react is anyone’s guess. A normal person moves both units back to defend, but this is Amy..
As for my turn, it's being spent raising 3 tribute demands. I'm so poor right now, and I'm not entirely sure why...
Turn 15
another turn spent collecting 3 tribute. Everything I want is just slightly to expensive, and the i've nothing else to do except try and build my character up at the minute. I'm really waiting for a little hellish intervention here.
In reality what I’m waiting for is to see what damage Dan can do to Amy. In response to his demand, she has refused...but she's also bought mega unit “The Sons of Typhon!” This is gonna be a head to head death match between two of the games biggest hitters. Dan's Beast can beat the sons, but can it beat the sons and Amy’s other legions together, AND capture the PoP? Seems unlikely to me. I just hope he can do SOME damage and leave me to pick on Amy in a more subtle way.
Turn 16
Paul has made a demand for 1 Tribute card against me....1?! This is almost an insult. His legion is on my border, waiting to march straight at my stronghold. I can manoeuvre my legions into defensive position easily enough, and I've created a combat card to neg off his most potent attack strength.. Yes, I said legions. I've bought another this turn. FINALLY got enough tribute together to manage this.
I've thrown the demand back in his face and taken his 9 prestige with it. If he claims vendetta with legions I’ll squash him like a bug, unless he has some other trick up his sleeve. If he chooses single combat, well I have a Praetor of my own he may or may not know about. It'll be a straight fight.
He must have something up his sleeve, there's no way he thought he could win this without some more advantage. We'll have to wait and see.
Turn 17-18-19
Well yes of course he did. I made a stupid mistake in that you can't transfer combat cards at all. So now my stronghold has a lovely useless card, whilst my legion and my praetor have been banished into hell like they deserve. Thankfully I took revenge in the most petty and underhand way possible, by using an event to permanently lower one of his stats. Hopefully it was the one that allows him to use his stupid girly wizard powers to his advantage. Amy has taken up a vendetta against him now, I’ll be looking very carefully for an opportunity to stick the knife in. Now and for the rest of the game.
For now, back to tribute farming, I have 30 souls, but no, ZERO, fucking Darkness. I've bought a new legion, and will be buying a praetor to match it nicely. It won't be enough to hurt Wstgfl immediately though.
As for Dan vs Amy, Dan rused her good, making her think he was going for one PoP, only to use the Beasts flying skill to send him over to another and steal without a problem.
Ian has continued to do nothing very quietly. He's nowhere near me at the moment so not my problem.
Plan from here, buy praetor, increase avatar stats so I can do something useful. Poke pins into Wstgfl voodoo doll.
Turn 21
As regent I’ve picked up a wickedly spiteful event card which I'll be using against Wstgfl at the earliest opportunity. That would be immediately but I’ve still not got any GODDAMN darkness! 38 souls now! WHY WHY WHY?
Farming tribute – AGAIN.
Turn 22
This is as if someone has played a card against me that only allows me to gain one type of resource in tribute. THIS IS STUPID, I can't do ANYTHING, and it's been that way for several turns.
Turn 23
Darkness glorious Darkness. From 1 to 8 in one round feels like a blessing, although I still can't do anything cool. Ian is claiming vendetta against Dan which should be interesting. I might have to start having a go at someone soon but no one looks weak enough at the minute. I've bought my Praetor this round which should help. I'm trying to update my stats so I can secure a 4th move slot, so back to resource farming for me!
Turn 24
This turn I have played my event to lower an opponents tribute. Shame I can't target it, but anyone will do! I've also increased my cunning by a rank which should allow me to start nicking things off people. Excellent!
Turn 25
So it targeted Ian, and removed his 1 prestige point. He now has 0. Harsh world. Nowt to do but increase tribute again. I've raised my wickedness by 1 to pass the time. Might come in useful later.
Turn 26 +
A little lax with the updating here, so this is a basic timeline. I decided I really needed to start doing something in a diplomatic sense if I want to stand a chance of winning this. Ian, the most obvious choice of target as he is a: closest territorially to me and b: in a worse position than I. I hatched a plot to claim a vendetta against him and set the terms as hex capturing, as his unit was too far away to stop me from completing this objective, it would be easy Prestige.
However, whilst this was unfolding I had a – potentially fatal at the time – change of heart. I decided I was going to march and kick his units arse instead. I loaded up my bought legion with an artifact, the siege war machine, and a combat card, and trundled over to Ians minion. This is when he, I assume, played the ace up his sleeve. An event card, targeted to destroy any legion in one fell swoop. I lost legion, artifact and card in the blink of an eye. All because I tried to cast a spell to further weaken him rather than charge in on round 1 of the turn like I should have. I was absolutely fuming! In a rash all or nothing move I bought another praetor from the bazaar and attached it to my starter legion. It was enough to win the vendetta against him and afterwards I was given a massive boost, I was dealt a card that allowed me to super-boost my new Praetor into the best on the map by a distance.
Result!!
I immediately went for Amy's throat, she was so far out in front that targeting anyone else would've been crazy. In fact anyone targeting anyone else would be! Turns out she didn't even have a praetor so I won the first round by default, and immediately claimed a 2nd run. If this continues I could peg her back and overtake before time runs its course. In another stroke of luck, I think it was caused by the Angelic host that was cast to give everyone's legions a twatting, a pathway was opened up the PoP that Dan had cornered off but never taken. I bought the Beast off the bazaar and quickly swooped in to steal it. At this stage I'm getting +3 prestige a turn which rivals anyone elses.
Until someone, it has to be Amy, throws a spanner in the works. A card has been played stopping all diplomatic efforts for (I think) 7 turns. We're at around turn 37 by this point and there are 13 tokens of 15 already pulled. We could feasibly run out of time to do something to stop Amy from winning. Once we can claim vendetta again, and I probably need at least 2 successful ones to overtake her, she can just refuse until the end of the game, such is her lead. Somebody will have to do something drastic, but I know I can win conventionally if Amy wasn't in the picture, but don't think I’ve got enough to take Pandemonium out. I'll leave the outrageous move to someone else!
In an email chain it comes to light that Paul has played the no vendetta card against us all. I'm struggling to understand the reasoning behind it! Dan's overtaken him into 2nd and he's robbed himself of the chance to push his way back there, and allowed Amy to coast over the line in theory. I can safely say I don't think he'll be excommunicating himself to take her out. In fact at this point I suspect he might be a King-Maker, it seems a little advanced but it could be possible. All the more reason to remove Amy...
Dan on the other hand, must realise there is no hope of him or anyone winning with Amy in the game, and there is still a slim chance of him winning without her there. If he can take her stronghold, then Paul’s, then probably mine...or if he can hold Pandemonium. It seems massively unlikely, but I’m not going to dissuade him when he comes asking for my opinion. I know that I’m catching Paul and Dan on prestige as I’m pulling in +4 thanks to my holding two PoPs and my alien god in a jar that I've recently acquired off the bazaar. I know that only 1 successful vendetta will get me over the line into 1st place with Amy dealt with.
As I thought, Dan makes his move and excomms himself, and manoeuvres the Beast towards Amys stronghold. Luckily at this point the vendetta hiatus is ended, and I immediately slap one on both Ian and Paul. If I’m successful in both, I’ll go 1st (when Amy dies), hell, even 1 and I might be up there, but it'll be close. I didn't waste my time putting one on Amy, fully believing she won't be long for this world. I also used the chance to seize the initiative here, namely pushing out vendetta's so that no one could do the same to me and play the tune for the remaining rounds. Without being able to use my Mega-Praetor of Doom(c)...well I’ve got nothing!
Dan asks me for aid in stopping Amy's troops. Sorry Dan, would love to help but I haven't got the spare resources to stop her, after failing to loot her faults once to often. I fully believe you can pull it off without me! Email below:

Subject: RE: Plan of Doom to stop Amy?
That’s the plan, however I keep getting rituals cast on me which are preventing me from moving. It’s irritating because almost every ritual I cast has been unsuccessful, but those cast on me seem to always get through! I need 2 turns of movement to beat her, I was hoping that she wouldn’t have a chance to move her defenders back – but it seems she might. This might be a good time to use some rituals of your own……
Ian refuses my demand! The git, but at least he sends me a nice message explaining he wants to keep his “0” game in-tact. Not sure it was ever in threat Ian!
Luckily Paul accepts, the outcome of this may well decide the game. Single combat, my super Praetor can't be beaten. I know he has Haagenti the Minotaur, whose very good ( I wanted him earlier), but he can't stop my guy one on one. No chance...right?
Humorously, Amy sends out an email to everyone except Dan, trying to rally us all to her aid against him. She suggests that he's going after Pandemonium and we should all make sure he doesn't win, coincidentally allowing her to stroll over the finish line. Here's the email in full:

Dear Comrades!
You'll notice that Dan is not included in this email. This is on purpose. Let's not accidentally add him in anyway so that he receives any responses. I'm not looking at anyone in particular who may be experienced in scuppering secret plans, just a general comment (Tom).
That being said, this is an email just to attempt to focus our collective gazes on Dan and whatever the hell he is doing with this excommunication malarkey. I have pondered what his goal might be. Initially I thought, he's just doing it to take me down (not that I'm paranoid) but now I come to realise that his goal must be pandemonium itself as he cannot earn anymore prestige for the rest of the game and the only other way of winning for him would be for him to take out me, then Paul and then possibly Tom too (sorry Ian, not you)! Given that we can't have more than 10 turns left, I suspect he won't have a time for all that, so Pandemonium is the logical goal.
I would like at this point to just say that as bad as it will be if Dan wins through gaining prestige alone, he would be absolutely unbearable if he won through this other way! Absolutely unbearable!
So with this in mind, I would urge my fellow players to ritual the hell out of him, loot his vaults, confuse his units and steal his shit!
"What is in it for you?", I hear you think. "Won't these actions just aid Amy in winning?" Possibly, but should I win, in part due to all of our actions at this point in the game, I solemnly promise not to gloat (too much). I will even shelf the victory lap I half had in mind...
That is all. Vote with your ritual clicking fingers!
Amy
Not fooled Aimes, he's after you, and he's gonna squish you good. Then I’m gonna win.
The very next turn, Dan commences in squashing Amy like a bug. Dan I think is in 1st, Paul 2nd, and me 3rd. Ian holding up the rear with his epic 0. I claim Vendetta with Paul for refusing my demand, single combat naturally, and sit back to farm tribute in the mean time. I fully expect Dan to make a bee-line for Pauls stronghold now, maybe hoping he's distracted by the ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN that is inevitably going to go down.
We're at around turn 45-46 now so any shift in Prestige will clinch it. I start having a look around. At the minute I've got enough tribute in the bank to satisfy my public objective (Greed – hold 50 cards at game end). So if I somehow lose the upcoming rumble, I’ll have around 65 prestige, plus 30, for a total of 95. Dan has 81 and can't win any more, so I’ll definitely beat him to the post (does he get the reward from Public objectives now he's excomm? Seriously hope not....). This could maybe beat Paul to? If he's not met his objectives?
There's also been a secret weapon on the bazaar for a long time now. The Odd Portrait, which gives the holder 30 prestige at games End, but ticks -1 every turn it's held. I figure on turn 49 we can't have more than 2-4 more rounds so I make my offer, and make it high just in case Paul has the same plan. Turn 49 is where this game will be decided, the single combat has been selected and the moves are in. I've gone defensive at the start, but my guy is so beefy he can still hit out 4 attacks even on a guarded attack. The latter rounds are all out blasters, just to seal the deal. I'm super confident in winning this combat and then the game. I can't foresee a losing scenario unless someone pulls the mother of all sneaks on me somehow (like if Ian were my King-Maker, that'd be hilariously awful, can't see it though).
Just as an added security I move my legion cutting off Dan's path back to his sanctuary.
Turn 50
SUCCESS! My praetor shrugged Pauls aside with disdain and I’m now leading in my own right. 95 to Pauls 91, and Dans 81. On top of that, I've gained the odd portrait and the ticker now shows 14/15 tokens played. There can only be 1-2 more turns, this looks like a deal sealer to me! Looking around the map, Dans unit is next to Pauls stronghold but only has 2/8 HP, has he attacked unsuccessfully but survived? Either way, he's now screwed, there's no way he can win that fight, and even if he could, it won't win him the game, just the cherry on top for me! Just to twist the knife, I’m going to send my legion to squash the one defending his stronghold, and maybe smash that to, if there is time. There's no room in my Kingdom of Hell for deserters and heretics Dan, I’m sure you understand?
There's only 1 slight issue that bugs me now. If Paul claims another vendetta against me, I’ll have to accept to save my tribute...I’m almost certain he hasn't got time to claim and win another one against me, but it's slightly irksome all the same.
Turn 51
VICTORY! All of my machinations having been conducted to pin point timing and accuracy, I was able to leap into the lead on the very last turn, and secure what it turns out was a landslide victory. From my final normal prestige total of 99 at turn 51 I would've beaten Paul by a mere 6 prestige. After factoring in my holding the Odd Portrait, which only had time to tick off 1-2 prestige, and the completion of my public objective (+30), on top of my canton holdings (apparently 34, who knew?) I came in at a whopping 193. Paul, in 2nd, finished on 91 after failing his objective lost him 20 prestige, and his cantons couldn't make up for the loss. Dan finished on 70 after failing his objective, but Ian moved up from 0 to 22 solely for holding that many squares. Good job, Ian.
Of course, it's impossible to predict how Amy would've finished, she perished with about 140 points I think? It would've been interesting to see whether I would've pushed her close in my own right, but I won't let such petty details ruin my self-congratulation.
So how did the game-plan play out overall? Well, in truth it was a bit of a shambles for long stretches. For the entirety of the middle game I was left feeling impotent by my lack of the correct resources to affect the game as I'd wanted. After Paul had won our earlier vendetta I was fuelled with a need for vengeance that I found impossible to sate because I couldn't afford it. In hindsight this drove me to seek other avenues, which led me to Furfur and the Uber-Praetor draw card after going “all in” against Ian. It's not hard to argue that that stroke of luck eventually won me the game but there was a lot of struggle involved getting even that far. From turn 1 I was dealt the most pitiful card (perhaps just above Dan), with my legion not being good enough, or close enough, to capture a place of power immediately. I was heavily planning on using a strong early legion to try and create an insurmountable lead, but immediate re-thinking was required. It was a master stroke to pick up the Book of Enoch when I did though, allowing me quick access to 3 moves per turn, and eventually 4, without having to waste resources (precious resources), getting there. From then it was just a case of sticking around, farming, and taking opportunities as they arose.
Luckily I think I was left alone because of my lowly stature for so long, particularly after losing early to Paul, and because Amy wasn't the most aggressive of prestige leaders we could have seen. Dan was solely occupied on pegging Amy back, rightly so, and so left me to my own devices. Unfortunately for him this tunnel vision, and an eventual lack of resources, left him excommunicated with nowhere to go. Paul, I’m afraid, lost the momentum on the casting of the “no diplomacy card”. Once it had ended there was only time for one more diplomatic move and I got to pick the terms. If he had the opportunity to claim legion combat against me on his terms, I could've been in a world of trouble, as my legions remained terrible throughout. For Ian, it was almost a case of over before it even began. Losing his only legion without capturing the PoP (Amy then stole it I believe?) left him severely handicapped. Then losing narrowly to me in a legion fight grounded him, only for my “Prestige Steal” spell to mercilessly twist the knife and remove any chance of him affecting the outcome.
I'd like to end this journal on a congratulatory, and slightly philosophical note. Congratulations to all for a great game, but remember this. For all your “If this had happened” or “I would've won but fors...” just think for a second that I did win. And you should be peeling my grapes....
BACK TO WORK, HUMAN SLAVES!!!
